Abstract

Product packaging plays an important role in attracting consumers, incorporating them into product selection and acting as a brand communication tool. Dates are rich in nutrients and a rich source of carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins and dietary fiber. And can improve human health. considering these beneficial properties, date production has increased over 30 years. More than 1,500 types of date palms are grown in some parts of the world. In Iran, there are different cultivars such as Shahani, Zahedi, Mazafati, Barhi and Kabkab. The spoilage of this fruit by insects, microorganisms, chemical changes during storage is serious, especially in tropical and humid conditions. Packaging of dates and date products is important because dates are unique products in the market. Packaging systems are being developed to minimize the impact on the environment. At present, various new methods have been developed for dates packaging. This research is about the modern packaging of dates due to its important market share of export.
