[English]

The impact of compliance with packaging standards on Iranian kiwi exports has examined in this study during the period 1398-1402, simultaneously with the announcement of packaging criteria and indicators by the Trade and Development Organization and the subsequent development of a special work plan for kiwi exports by the Agricultural Jihad Organization. For this purpose, data for 14 countries that have been continuous destinations for Iranian fresh kiwi fruit exports and have accounted for more than 90 percent of the exports of this product were obtained from reports and statistics of the FAO and the Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and were evaluated using panel data. The results showed that at a significant level of 5 percent, the packaging standard coefficient developed by the Agricultural Jihad Organization has a positive and significant relationship with kiwi exports. In other words, along with updating and complying with the packaging standard by exporters, the amount of kiwi product exports increased by 0.53 percent, which can increase the value of this product in the agricultural export sector and encourage investors in this field. The GDP coefficient of kiwi importing countries is assessed as positive, in other words, with each one percent increase in the GDP of the mentioned countries, the export rate increases by 0.16 percent. Also, the distance coefficient of the countries based on whether the aforementioned countries share a border with Iran shows that the absence of a common border with the importing country reduces the export rate by 0.46 percent, and the presence of a common border with importing countries is considered an advantage.
